The first elephant seal pup of 2012 arrives at the Marine Mammal Center

In a tweet via @SaveTheMonkSeal on Twitter, I came across this Marine Mammal Center Rescue organization. Faith, an abandoned elephant seal pup, was found along the California coast and named at the rescue site. Once the Marine Mammal Center volunteers had rescued him and had time for further examination, they realized it was a boy seal. Faith, was only 6 weeks old and still had his original birth coat. Very underweight, he also had an injury to his right eye. The rescue organization will help Faith get well and stronger and then he will be returned to the wild.

If you wish to follow The Marine Mammal Center on Twitter, it's @TMMC.

To see the pictures of this wonderful seal please check out the article page at First Elephant Seal Pup of 2012 Arrives at The Marine Mammal Center.
